Things always seem happen when you least expect them – and so this morning we receive the news that the labour ministers of the G7 countries yesterday declared their support for a binding instrument on sustainable supply chains at the United Nations.

This first and important step towards global trade justice is based not least on the perseverance of civil society.

This means that our street survey, which we conducted last year on this topic and which was probably not so utopian after all, is now finding its way into reality. What a pleasure!
